My lady's dad is almost done restoring his 63 split window. It's all original except the motor (350 carbed). A cousin of his has the original fuelie but he wants a ridiculous amount for it. 63 split window ftmfw!

yeah the fuel injected ones are real pricey. I really liked the pantera and miura and a few others...

Nah the original engine is only expensive because there's a rivalry there. The vette used to be owned by a mutual friend of her dad and her dad's cousin. Well her dad sort of bought the vette that the cousin really wanted, but he couldn't afford the motor at the time. So what did the cousin do? He got the motor and is putting a $10k price tag in it, even though it's only worth a few thousand by itself. However the vette when it's done should be worth like $80k and the motor $3k when separate, but with the motor in the vette the value jumps to $120k+ supposedly. It's all family politics bullshit really. They both want the whole thing and each has a piece.
