a6 in hf, experiences?
 
how many people did the a6 swap in there hf crx with little mechanic experience and no manual? and how'd it go? any problems or difficulties that could be shared would be helpfull because i am about to attempt this.thanz

That was my first setup.. its very easy, plug and play dude, just try to get the SI tranny if you can, the HF tranny just sucks.

i've try that...
I had problem using the si engine harness (wouldn't start).
Swap it with the HF engine harness, start up fine.
The only issue I had with that swap was I kept getting the O2 sensor code. It was still getting the O2 sensor code even after i use a new O2 sensor. Continuity from O2 to ecu was fine, any how the car was sold.....

i already got the si tranny jeff ;)and the whole engine for 100 dollarz but i put some work in it(p&P valve job clutch)...and i got a ihi lined up, and a job paying 8.25 that i just started at in n out, good stuff, we're gonna have to have a so cal meeting again cuz i missed the first one soo i can be kewl like everyone else, thanz for the advice and turboman did u mean swap out the hf and put in the si harness or put in the hf harness with the si engine?

The first so cal. meet was a bust. I think we should wait until it gets a little warmer though. :P

would it be easy to replace the engine/cabin wiring harness with the si wiring harness? cause i cant seem to find a 88 hf wiring harness anywhere and was considering going to a junk yard and getting a complete si wiring harness all the way up to the fuse box.

dx has no badge.

but i haven't seen an HF in my life in Canada. But im sure they exist.
