McVeigh was a known loon since day one.
I agree that you can't be entirely certain of anyone you don't know, whether or not they have a good rep, but this case definitely looks like it will be interesting.

the goverment needs scapegoats. im sure theres more detainees than just him. Your not going to get the us goverment to just straight up say "Oh, yeahh uhh we detained you and we were wrong.. sorry." if they wanted to make a case and convict him they could. hes just a victim of insane reasoning.
We only war with thoes we have no comunication with, and who have been deamonized by the media.
Since the invention of the internet the us goverment cant exactly pin things on small south american and 3rd world countrys. theres to much information that can be passed. We havent had an instance of combat with europe or any other country full of white people since ww2. Because no ones been doing anything crazy and now we have an extreame amount of comunincation between all of the countrys. The only nations left that we have no comunication with are muslim countrys because they're 3rd world countrys and theres a huge language barrior. Its realy easy to deamonize a country when the media just comes out with muslim people burning the american flag. we dont know what country they are from or what culture they represent. hell, it could jus be some extreamist cell or some old stock footage lying around.

man, this ---- is just like the asian person who shot and killed those white hunters. WE dont really know the whole story.
Buk, do you really think just because someone has a good record it means that they are not capable of such allegations? Hell, If I were a terrorist, I'd do all kinds of good things to keep myself under the radar! I bet you there's someone with top secret clearance who is a spy for some country, and he may not even be a citizen/nationality of that country.
That story is one sided, and like you said, the Military likes to keep a lot of things hush-hush so we will never know the whole details.

I read it, seems like he did a lot of good ----, and made a good name for himself. If what the article says is true, and he was involved with jihad training and what not, then he's kind lame. Who knows for sure though.
