Yeah this one time on my 79 trans am... I had a dual flowmaster exhaust and one of my muffler bearings went bad. You know when one goes and you dont realize it right away then it ruins the other muffler because of the added flow.
Needless to say I ended up spending another 150 again on the two mufflers.
Check them asap mufflers can get expensive!

mine are pretty worn out. im pissed, cause the new exhaust i want reads "muffler bearings could wear very quickly with the addition of a turbocharger. where do you guys get your bearings? i need a place tat sells titanium ones. please let me know!

I can't believe you guys go through those so quick. I have had mine for almost 3 years and no problems whatsoever. I even had the muffler shop check them last time I was there. I guess I'm just better about changing my exhaust oil than you guys. You really should be more concerned about these maintenance issues. I have pics of what a bad muffler bearing can do. I'll see if I can find them..........

dang from muffler bearings!!! I would say that is the craziest piston i have ever seen but my best friend in college races shifter carts so ...seen a few screwed to hell pistons. But dang i am gonna have to watch out for this.
