98 Civic

I drive a 98 Civic hx. I got an intake, exaust, weapon-r throttle rotor, adjustable coil overs, front upper strut bar, short shifter and aem adjustable cam gear. I know alot of this stuff wont really help my 1/4 mile time, but what do you think i would be running? my cousin has all the same stuff except he has a dx. he ran a 17.6 so im hopin mine will be faster.

dude just go to the track...there is so many things that need to be taken in to consideration nobody could tell you what you could run...but if you know how to drive you should be in the 16's but all the 96-00 sohc civic guys i see run 17-19's in the 1/4th

Well, I ran a 16.95 @85 with Intake and Exhaust. It was a 98 CIvic HX, just like yours. Stock with a professional driver I think runs around 17.2....with our mods it should be somethin around there.

I drive the ---- out of it though....it depends on if you like your tranny...

16.9 sounds damn good for a HX..plus i dont see how intake and exhaust could make a diff. anyway, maybe 10 horses

Hmmmm.... We'll see what happens with DSM 450's, SMC, Tyrus Intercooler, Centerforce Dual Friction clutch, and a WRX BOV ;) We'll see soon.... ;D

ROFL

All vehicles would be faster if supermodels drove all the time..... ;D ;D Too bad they probably don't know how to drive.

LOL :D

Hahaha.....Ive beaten people with dudes in my passenger seat too (coughJeffcough)....my car on weight loss doesnt make a huge difference....lol. No backseats though..... :)

To sum it up......the HX is a slow, economy car...it can still be raced and still pull 16s, but not much faster. Lotta people will laugh at you but its good sometimes to get a smile on peoples faces at the track....sometimes you get noticed more for driving a slow POS than a fast one, haha.

i just like it when girls are driving 8)

Special FX 04-23-2003 03:49 PM

Re:98 Civic

Yeah, the FX is pretty light until I get in. Weight is 2125 with half a tank, ran 17.3 seconds Naturally Aspirated but there was kinda an excuse. Anyone who's ever put synthetic 75w90 in their tranny knows how long it takes the syncros to hook up. I pulled so hard trying to get it to shift faster that I broke the back of the plastic shift pivot-cage-thing off. And I yelled ---- a few times cuz that might also help.
