Default 94 eclipse

I have a 94 eclipe 1.8l sohc non turbo, I am thinking of boosting it, but cant find enough info on it, plus I would like to know if its possible to use the manifold from a 4g63 motor?
if I cant boost this engine I would look into a 4g63 swap.

From what I have heard the 4G63 swap into a non turbo model (except Spyder) is more trouble than it's worth. I think the 1.8L SOHC engines don't hold boost well also. Maybe a Turbo 420A?

theres a couple people that have done it you need to find the old colt manifold and make an adapter plate or go custom. i thought about doing this but turboing my civic is going to be alot cheaper. i also have a 94 eagle talon sohc. i have read that the 4g63 swap is a pretty much drop in but you need the harness and ecu also

swap in the na 4g63 and work from there. Doing the turbo swap in those things is ------- rediculous.

I thought the 420A was a direct drop in? Maybe not... Whats the engine code on the 1.8L? I'm with you though. I have a 96 GS and I'm trying to turbo the Civic. Hopefully I can get the gremlins out and get it sold.

the second gen has a 420a and the 4g63 swap is harder becuase it has different mounts. the first gen has a 4g37 and has the same mounting points as the 4g63 . the trans even bolts up but would probably blow if you did any mods to the 4g63

the 94 eclipse, is that the 1st gen, or second gen? I though my engine was the 4g37 but not sure, I just would like to have a little more power. the civic is already boosted, and I have some extras, that can boost another car 75% minus the manifold and ems

its a first gen. you just need the manifold from a turbo colt but i would use another turbo because they are tiny
