93 Civic EX Red Stolen Last Night Snohomish/Everett area PLEASE READ! 8/19/06
 

A good friends 93 Civic EX was stolen out of Snohomish last night. Everett area. It is a 2 door coupe, Factory Red, Faded red/pink bumper noticable different then rest of car. 17" Chrome Alba wheels, Lowered, simple stock looking exhaust, tinted windows, clear corners, clear altezza taillights oval roud old school style. It has one major dent on the driver side rear quarter panel where paint is chipping. About 5"x5". It also has a stereo system with 2 10's MTX subs. License plate reads 027PFZ. If you see this car please call the local police department and my friend his name and phone number is below.

He was visiting a family realitive for the past week or so...No glass No sign of the cars existance...doors were locked...I believe it was someone that had seen his car around and decided to keep track of it and check out his location and then made his move...he knew what he was doing...

My friend got a call today. The car was found by the police department of Snohomish. Appears the rims are not on it. I am sure the stereo system isn't there also. But that is all we have right this second.

It's kinda Ironic, both my friend (owner of the car) and I are from Olympia. We purchased the car 2-3 years ago. From a teenager girl in Lake Stevens/Snohomish/Everett area and that is where it was stolen...:( Pretty much had everything on it when we bought the car...

Do they use bait cars in the US?They are really common here in BC and have been pretty effective.The videos are funny to watch too.I think if they started using some "modiifed" Hondas it might help deter the thiefs that are chop shopping cars instead of getting the junkies that is the primary target of bait cars currently.

Funny thing is, a bait car is the easiest thing to detect.

I was thinking about doing my last year of the military at Camp Pendelton (Oceanside) but then I tell myself that if I have a honduh in so-cal it will be stolen.

it seems like so-cal is a dam cool place to live for car stuff...

How do you detec a bait car ??? There is no visible evidnece until it shuts off when your ripping along and the cops pull up.

i wud just have myself a remotly mounted airbag switch and mount an airbag in the headrest of the seat too..

they start to drive away.. click click BOOM!!!!! air bag pops from the front and from the back either dismembering or paralyzing the driver :6

that.. or just stick a flash bang/smoke grenade inside the car remotly activated :6

---- it id keep it simple.. have a device mounted on the firewall that clips the throttle cable and call it a day...

no one stealing a car is gonna look inside on the firewall.. and if they do.. mount it on the other side of the firewall.. booya..

Their was a show on a local TV station here talking about the problem with stolen cars in WA. They have started a bait car program and some other stuff but their only going to catch the retarded ones the rest know what their doing and wont get caught :-\ They also said 50,000 cars get stolen in WA each year and it was the 2nd highest in the nation :l

We trailered the car back to Olympia...car was missing rims, stereo system was gone, lincense plate and tailights were taken out and put in the trunk lol...nicely done too not ripped out or broken...front and rear bumper were pulled off the brackets a lil due to the tow truck that had to slide it on with no wheels...Few simple plastic pieces broken inside...and the column...other then that the car was fine haha...oil is not regestering...i hope they didnt drain the oil and ran the car and seized it...:( ill find out tom...but we got it back which is probably rare...

I spent all day yesterday cleaning and aligning the bumpers of the car and look off the blemishes on the bumpers and changed oil etc cleaned inerior etc...came out better then the day he purchased it!...
