92 vx for 1200
ok so i found a 92 vx with a d15b7, dunno if its actually a vx or not but the motor gets good gas mileage.. that i do know
the good: it comes with a chipped p06, tockico illuminas, and 2 bronze konig 6 spoke in the back (though the front 2 rims dont even match eachother let alone the back 2) , the motor has a fresh rebuild on it, short throw shifter, big tach with the shift light, and not to mention 40mpg woot the bad: main thing is the main throw bearing for the transmission it grinds/grumbles horrible, the ecu makes the car idle at around 950 and it tries to die from stand still so i need to rev a lil higher to get it going, also its wrecked so i need a new front bumper support/front bumper and front right fender. other than that its a nice lil car what do you guys think? |
Re: 92 vx for 1200
Sounds like a plan. Lowball him and buy it. ;)

Re: 92 vx for 1200
i wouldn't pay 1200 for it. Just sold my ex eg 4 door for 1100 and it was completely good. Paint was good, body was good. All the rims matched. Low ball the hell outa him, don't take it for more than $700.

Re: 92 vx for 1200
I sold my old ex eh (its not an eg kthx) 4 door for $1800 with rust in the quarters and an engine with a spun rod bearing; this would be a hell of a deal in my area.

Re: 92 vx for 1200
i'd buy it, cheaper the better, but i'd pick it up for 1200

Re: 92 vx for 1200

Re: 92 vx for 1200
picked it up today, ill have pics soon. anyone have a stock ecu for a b15b7 ???
the ecu that came with it is chipped and is not the stock map. its programmed i guess to run a turbo with 8psi. i dunno what that means because ive never messed around with ecus. its a p06 |
Re: 92 vx for 1200
cut j1 jumper=stock ecu
|

Re: 92 vx for 1200
You wouldn't have a d15b7 in a VX, you'd have a d15z1...unless he swapped engines for some gay reason
|
Re: 92 vx for 1200
how much did you get screwed/screw him out of?
|
Re: 92 vx for 1200
oops imeant d15b7 yeah the vin starts with 2h so its not a vx for sure, im pretty sure it is a dx
got it for 800, you wouldnt have an idea on how to clip that j1 jumper would you? |
Re: 92 vx for 1200
Look on the board for j1, and cut it.
|
Re: 92 vx for 1200
theres a j2 j3 j4 j10 j11 j12 but i dont see a j1...
how am i supposed to take them off the board anyway desolder them? |
Re: 92 vx for 1200
ok i found the j1 thanks to posts on pgmfi.org and the 2 solder points dont have anything between them... essentially an empy jumper. there is a chip in a spot its not supposed to be in ill take pics and post them in a few minits

Re: 92 vx for 1200
ok well my c20 easyshare is gayer than aids so it might take a while to get a decent picture
|
Re: 92 vx for 1200
all you have to do is cut j1 it removes all the chipping stuff and returns the ecu to stock form
