The famed "Hurst Hairy Olds" was stock appearing from a distance, but a closer look saw two blown, nitro-burning engines, that together produced an excess of 5000 horsepower.

Totally engulfed in tire smoke, the four-wheel drive car did quarter mile burnouts, with all four racing slicks blazing smoke to the finish line.

only 1200 hp with all that displacement? ---- a stock zc makes more hp per liter than that thing. Plus I bet it costs like 20 grand.

hell that looks about practicle for offshore racing and thats about it.. looks like its just huge.. and im sure its more then 20. alot of builders these days are selling 454's for 20 I can only imagine what that thing would cost.

it doesnt say how much horsepower.

it would rock your socks in a medium sized yaht lol

Although the engine is headlined as a marine engine, this does not mean, that if a customer wanted the engine for another challenge, even some form of outlaw drag racing, that it couldn't be dressed for the occasion with a large blower and maybe even a gulp of Nitro.
