I was wondering if you could convert an 88-89 civic hatchback to have 90-91 Civic hatch doors?

I can't say for sure, but I think you shouldn't have a problem. I know the 88 had longer windows than 89-91, but I think the doors are the same size.

They'll work but the trim is narrower than the 88-89's. The glass on the 88 is longer because of the B pillar mounted seatbelts. The glass is shorter on the 89-91's because the seatbelt is in the door.
