89 dodge truck with 2.6l mitsu engine?
 

anyone worked on these b4? im replacing the head for a friends dad and wanted to get everything straight b4 i put it back together today, i need to know how the timing goes is it like a honda? crank marks and cam pully marks? let me know thanks.

set it to tdc and look how the cam marks line up before you take the head off

i already took the head and stuff off but i duno how to set the timing, there was a small dimple mark on the cam sprocket and mark on the crank pully but i think its 180degrees off cause its like no compression at all the ------- exhaust valves open when the intake r supposed to, fag ass timing chains r gay, anyways thanks.

anyone? no ones worked on one of these's just lookin how to adjust the timing its like there is no comp at all it turns over way to fast i pointed both marks up thinking well ---- what else way can it go but apparently not.

go to some mitsu fourms and email some people. i had to do that when working on my friends golf. the haynes manual said nothing about how to set the timing. so i looked at some vw fourms and got it figured out O0

Ahh the 4G54, Mitsubishi's cruelest mistake. We rebuid those where I work, if I see one on the line I'll get a picture of the timing assy.

i was readinga dodge forum and it someone was talking about the crank mark being at 12 and the cam mark goes at 6.

My father used to have a 89 Dodge Ram that had a mitsu engine in there. He turboed the bastard back in like 92. From what I remember of it the thing was pretty nice.. pretty quick too.

what would u have to use for fuel managment on them? i looks easy as hell to do there is so much room in there. the sickest one though was on mischeif3000 had 350whp and awd,front mount, bov lol it was sick as ---- sounded like a dsm. they had it on a dirt track it was ripping it up.
