If you watch in the background of some of the clips of that kid there is a guitar propt up. I bet the kid plays guitar too and thats why hes good at it.

He's not actually playing, look at 1:15 into the video its a super long note and he lets off of the white button aka the strings or whatever, and it keeps going if you do that in guitar hero it will not complete the note

just out of curiosity have you played the game? you dont hold the white button you hold the colored buttons that is what plays the long notes.

His finger movements were pretty fluid, and his positioning looked like if there were frets and strings, he'd have been hitting proper chords.
