73 nova?????

so, anybody know about these cars.

im going to look at picking up a rolling chassis for 400 bucks.

havent seen it yet but its rust free (cali desert climate), and is all there except for the engine, bumper and front rad support..

has a B&M th350 core in it and has all the interior in the front, rear is gutted.

i think its a great deal and will probally buy it as long as the dude isnt completely full of ----. just going on his word right now. but with a 400 dollar car and my 300 dollar 454 plus some various ---- and i think i can have a fast ass nova for under 3000. no turbo for now though.

just want to know what to look for( i.e. known problems that the model has)

frame rot in the rear, esp. where the leafs attach.

Unibody X-Body, likes to twist, 7.4L with twist it quickly!

yes. my dads 77 is a bitch and a half to find parts for. thats one reason why i sold my 78 is because parts were to hard to find and it was incomplete. if you are lucky to get it rust free then by all means grab it up. they are getting rare and hard to find. if anything at all you can make that and more back from parting it out. people will pay good money for a rust-free section of the car.

yeah, im going to buy it and sell everything but the dash out of the interior and then start pulling off body panels that can be replaced with fiberglass.

light ass car with a budget big block.

Nothing a set of HMT SUbframe connectors wont take care oif!!!! Gutted they are pretty light too... Toss a set of ladder bars in it and a Posi rear end with some 373s (if running the 454)... Itll be fast.
