4th gen hatch/crx

Ok well since anything goes i thought this would fit. I have a 91 gmc sonoma that i bought cheap and its in great condition. It has a 4 cylinder but I was going to drop a small block chevy turbo and a 6 speed which would put it in the low 13's easy and probably 12's (only weighs about 2500 lbs).

So anyway I have been thinking of selling my pickup for about $2000 and buying a 4th gen hatch or crx and doing an turbo ls/vtec or ls/turbo project on it. Putting it close to the same times expected of the sonoma.

I'm 6'2" and about 200 lbs and I have plenty of room in my little pickup, but I am afraid if I would go with the hatch/crx I would be cramped. My uncles 5th gen hatch didn't feel too cramped for me but I don't know about the 4th gens.

Are any of you as big or bigger than I am and you own a hatch or a crx?

I am undecided so any advice is appreciated.

dude...no worries. ive seen some BIG GUYS fit nicely into a crx. if you put the seat all the way back, and tilt it back a little, you shoulndt have any worries. but i would just go to a dealer and "test sit" one, that would probably be your best best.

welcome to HMT

Im 5' 7" and fit with tons of room... you can always make brackets to move your seat further back if legspace is a problem O0

Re: 4th gen hatch/crx

well my input is this, you can move the seat around... in my crx i could move the seat to where i was an inch away from the ceiling (i'm somewhere in 5'9 or 5'10) or i could move the seat a little and have like 4 inchs...

find someones and check it out, unless the person is a total dick, or is just fussy with their car they'll let you check out the passenger side to see if you'll be alright. i'm like 230 and i fit fine.... in my 93 hatch i have like a min. of 4 inchs any way i move the seat... and if anybody says not to get an si because of the moonroof, its only like an inch difference, probably not even that
