4g63 engine install bitch

Well my freind finally has enough money to replace his blown engine in his 98 GST and was looking for a good place to buy from. He's got 2100 to spend and I was trying to help him out. 2 questions 1. Best place to buy from (online) 2. How easy is the 1st gen engine to drop in (is it drop in or any mods needed) Thanks in advance for the help bitches!!! He only needs the engine, I've already swapped his t25 for a 14b and all the tubo lines are taken care of. Helpful info appreciated. (BTW I already asked him to build his and replace everything but he wont)

it would probly be cheaper just to pick up a used 1st gen block, then through the 2nd gen head on it. and while your at it throw on a 1st gen intake mani, tb and what not

Yeah thats what I told him, but he wants basically a new (refurbished) engine with a warranty because he drives like a crazy bastard.

he's more than likely not going to find a used motor with a warranty for more than 30-90 days, not to mention, there will prolly be no warranty at all unless the motor you purchase is installed by a certified shop. forged internals and rebuilt engine would be way better than any warranty he will ever find on a used engine. but other than that since you said he doesn't want to, tell him he's an idiot and then send him to ebay.......
