450 cc dsm injectors

Hey all,
I'm a newbie to the HMT but I've been on the source for a while.Anyhow I have a opportunity to get some 450cc injectors for next to nothing. Are they a decent upgrade and what kind of modification do i have to make for them to fit?
thanks ollie~

Re:450 cc dsm injectors

its pretty simple. Grind the grommets out. using a dremel or die grinder, with some type of bit (carbide whatever) and just work the inside of the grommet cutting the rubber away evenly, take maybe 2mm away. Just make sure the grommet slides over the injector (semi-snug). Use some lube when putting them in the intake manifold, make it a bit easier too.

Then, you will need some type of controller to pulse these slower.. IE, SMC controller/Apexi VAFC/SAFC controller/ Fields controller, basically a device that will change the signal to the map sensor input to the ecu.

Re:450 cc dsm injectors

To really take advantage of them you will need some kind of engine management like a zdyne or just a v-afc.

Also they wont do ---- if you engine is stock.

I will buy em from ya :) , I am installing a zdyne on my turbo zc soon.

Thanks Abaz,As for them "not doing sh-t on a stock motor"
I thought that any increase in air and fuel would increase HP?!I understand I need an AFC controller but wouldnt this "minor upgrade" make any kinda improvement or am I just wasting my $$$?

yup, I would worry about it, the stock 240s can do pretty good on NA motors.

Ok thanks guys,At least I'll have the injectors out of the way when I finally find a hf manifold for my 14b.Anyhow anyone out there willing to part with a zdyne comp?
Oh yeah if it helps I have a decent (non-factory)intake and nice 2.5" exhaust, and I just purchased a chip for my PM6(not installed yet).ok im out.

i too was about to buy some 450cc injectors which I believe can be found on an integra, not sure which model thou!
I understand there in a pentometer on some of the UK CRX ECU's? This is meant to adjust the injectors in ratio to the car ageing.... do u know how much it would up the performance if i just turn the thing right up to the max??
i read on another post somink about changing a resistor somewhere or am i wrong....
cheers

Re:450 cc dsm injectors

whats the diff between peak and hold and saturated? is it to do with the pulsing of the fuel? thanks for that list helps out quite a bit. if crx's have 240CC injectors do u know how much of that CC is being used? has anyone else heard of this potentiometer? quote from the website....http://www.markl.f9.co.uk/ecu-tech/ecu-tech.htm
"base fuel mixture is controlled by a potentiometer and can be changed to some degree. The ECU code of this engine is a PM7-E020."
