Yeah, I think he's 78 or something.. they usually seem to pick an old Pope after the prior dies, just so there's a slight transitional phase, then that dude duys within about 10 years and they pick a really young guy to be Pope. John Paul II was the young guy, the Pope before him was only there for 30 days :P

Now if there was a national drinking type holiday. Well we have a lot of those, but noone seems to stay off the roads.
