2200 BHP

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtxfbxGz1u4

One guy in england decided to slowly overhaul his 1972 Voxel Vectra, not what most people would think as a mean machine. What he ended up with was a 9.3 liter v8, 2200 horsepower beast that can go from 0-60 in ONE second. And its street legal!

Brain Robbins, in his first race of the year stopped IHRA Pro Stock racer Rick Jones in the final. Robbins, who drives Keith Engling’s, blown Oldsmobile drilled the tree with a .003 light and stayed in front of Jones’ Cobalt from start to finish with a 6.58 at 217 mph to Jones 6.60 at 213.

Bill Glidden outran Dan Millen in Nitto Tire Super Street for his third win of the year. Glidden, who qualified number one among 16 racers with a 7.0 . . .

Re: 2200 BHP

street legal, BULLSHIT :)

slap in a 740 with Big Chief heads, shove 1000 hp of N20 down it, 2500+ BHP with ease.

Re: 2200 BHP

Emissions-wise; it's exempt. Beauty of the older cars; he could have that in Beanerfornia and no hippies or cops could say (well they'll bitch and moan) or do ----

Re: 2200 BHP

that car is 100% NOT street legal "."

Econo-Box 10-20-2006 09:34 AM

Re: 2200 BHP

I always thought the deffinition of a real street car was something that you could get inspected anywhere. Wheel tubs, cages and giant blowers a foot out of the hood is not a street car IMO.

Koby 10-20-2006 12:18 PM

Re: 2200 BHP

Tubbed isn't illegal
Roll Cages aren't illegal
Blowers out the hood are more than street legal.

Bone1 10-20-2006 02:04 PM

Re: 2200 BHP

Blower sticking out are illegal when your field of vision is blocked.

HondaTuner 10-21-2006 03:27 PM

Re: 2200 BHP

I think PA law allows up to a 6" cowl or so. So most rednecks running around with a blower out the hood of their 85 iroc camaro are okay.

Re: 2200 BHP

Its in the UK, It is street legal, its based abour a hour drive form me! UK laws are ALOT less strict than USA laws.

Also dont forget its 2200 Crank HP not 2200 WHP,thats the way we measure over here.

buk9tp 10-21-2006 05:16 PM

Re: 2200 BHP
