2008 SHELBY GT 500
 

I had the chance to race against one today\\. 2 people in Germany one the chance to buy won of these cars, one is my co-worker, and the other my friend's co-worker. my friend's co-worker recieved his first, already broken in the motor. he wanted race me or my friend even before he got it.

today I decided that my motor was ready for race at 650 miles after rebuild, so I put in the synthetic oil, and went out street tuning, after we were done we called him up to hit the autobahn.
we did 5 races, I won 2 he won 1 and the other 2 I tps had problems.
1st one roll from 40mph my dumbass started in 3rd gear knowing my turbo is too huge, and ls gears are too long, he pull off and I had to play catch up, victory to him.

2nd race roll from 40 mph 15psi I started in second this time, even take off then vtec then I left him got him on midrange and top end, I hit my rev limit of 8400rpm in 5th gear after a long lead. he was already maxed out.

the other one I won was incomplete even though I had the lead whole way, we hit traffic and had to abort

all this was on a 3 lane autobahn with no speed limits, and no cars in the area we raced.

I felt good about the race, even the one I lost because it proves my car is not simple. I would like to see what I can do against him from a dead stop, I might have to use slicks, or drag radials to get traction so we put it off for the track when it reopen.
this was the first mustang that actually gave me a good challenge.

he have vids of the race he will email to me, as you know my boy can't record so the vids are crappy as usual, start recording late, and not focused on the cars to show progress.
I feel good. I wonder how much power I am pushing at 15 psi, my goal is 600whp

I'm ready to see some vids...I've always wondered what you car runs and sounds like. If you're pulling like that on GT500's we at least know the answer to half that question...

those gt500 are pretty fast.

take anything "rudeboy" says with a gran of salt. if you say you have 600whp and it was anything but a massacre on your part you're full of junk on the 600whp

I did not say I have 600whp, I said my goal is 600whp, I am probably at 400whp. (I was waiting for you to come on here and say something like that since in your eyes mustangs are unbeatable, the owner of the car also thought so.)
I was not arrogant, so I was expecting a challenge. I made 440whp at 14psi last year, this was using boost by gear starting at 11psi to 15 psi in 5th so most of the time I was at 12 psi. he said he was at 15 psi. anyways my car is worth $15k his is worth $60k.

i hope so a GT500 isnt even that fast, they only trap like 115. that car should not have been able to pull on your 400whp car.

also your car isnt "worth" 15K, more like you spent 15k to build it. a GT500 doesnt cost 60K unless they charge a $20K import fee on them.

i guess its possible considering im sure you cant just go to any ford dealer and buy one over there. thats a hefty markup on the dealers part.

The speedo on my Evo climbs around that quickly (obviously not in stock form it won't) so for a stock street car that's not too shabby. Plus the whine of the blower makes it worth it :D

Your civic's come a long way, but man I'd probably kill myself with all that boost lag lol. Definitely one thing I don't miss with big turbo honda setups, although your rpm more than makes up for it.

your camera man is a retard, just cause he can see the cars doesnt mean the camera can. you have to look through the camera for that plan to work.

i love seeing a civic beat a mustang though. i have nothing against american cars, just their (i have the fastest car on the street) owners.

my by boy is like that man, he don't know to be quiet when he is filming, like last time I was at the race track racing one of my friend, he was talking so much ---- about the guy, I could not give the vid to the car who lost. the other vids are better than this one, he just can't get them to load up. say they are too big.

hahahahah... the camera man is meeee... oh well. First off, I didnt want to take my seatbelt off going that fast just to try to get the camera over the Mustangs rear wing. The rear wing is so damn high you cant see nothing. Second, if the civic driver knew how to drive, he wouldn't have almost wrecked his civic trying to catch up. I must say, even after almost loosing it, the civic was able to recover and make a comeback. Third, that race you talking about rudebwoy with me talking ---- on the camera, I wasn't talking ---- about your boys, I was talking ahit about you cause you lost to a BMW 135i on the race track. Yes I was mad as hell that all that work and you lost to a 135i. Come on man. lol.. there you have it, the truth. your camera man is still the best! hahahaha.... This was all on 15PSI. The civic still has a lot more left in it no doubt. It wasn't the lag so much that cause the civic to fall behind, it was the gearing and the lost of traction when it hit boost. In the other videos I have you can tell when the civic had good traction, the mustang was unable to pull away on the jump.

anyways if you would have film the other 2 race right it would have shown the civic's lead from the start to finish never fell behind :), not just a catchup race.
the bmw race you spoke of I told you multiple times, and you saw it for yourself that my transmission broke and would not go into gear, thats why I backed off do you think I would have lost that race if there werent a problem? you have to know when to talk ---- man. if you would filmed that one you saw that I slowed down completely, and was not racing anymore.
the one I was speaking of is the one of my friends srt4 , and the mustang you dogged these guy out like it was nothing I was ashamed to show them these vids.

Don't worry about it man. Just got back from taking the GT500 out and spanking a 135i for you. The 135 didnt stand a chance. We didnt want to do it because we knew it would be a waste of time but the guy in the BMW was talking so much smack we decided it was time to shut him up. And indeed we did. I think you should post the video of you racing the 135i. O0
