just got wind of this thread, but yeah, I'd be interested. As of now though (MAYBE turbo soon?), my car isn't fast, it ran in Street-Stock (4Cyl, NA, no swaps) at Battle of the Imports back in August to give you an idea of what it is. It'd be cool to have a class like this though, I know there are a lot of people out there that would be good competition in it if they knew about it. Either way, it'd just be cool to have a consistent import event in general... staff at PR seems to hate us and if we went out there more, maybe they'd get a little more used to it.

and by asking intec to host this event, it sounds like PR wants more Imports there, since it is mostly diesel trucks and old school american

NO...look at all the classes "engine of same manuafactor"...a SBC in a Z doesnt count its cool for the pro class...


yeah i guess brakets would suck with a shitload of 18sec cars.... how about a street class with all FWD's and the AWD/RWD are bumped up to the next class?

so 1 event per month... starting when? May? til Sept? It would be nice to have more than 5 races.

Oh and if PR officials are gonna be teching our cars, ---- beaus car could probably get away in the street class. Those guys really hate working the import events.

right now we are thinking about having one 1 event per month. Starting as soon as posible. That way we can squize in about 6 events. Right now we are looking to have at least 6 events. If they alow us to start sooner, then we can do more.

but one per month is what we are thinking to go with, that way it gives us time to get the car ready for the next race, just in case something happens to the car. I know most of us, don't have the financial backing as other racers to be able to fix our cars over night.

I can look into having one event every three weeks, maybe that way we can squize in one more race per year.

yup thats for sure. i remember high school drags, most of us arrived left straight from school in a big *** group, and the only thing people had to fix were battery tie-downs. and the people who arrived half-way through the day, ----, they didn't even have to pop their hood! they just filled out the tech sheet and gave it to the guy
