question: are you only allowed to have 4 classes? it would be awesome if you could split them up into like Honda/Acura, DSM, Euro, etc, since "imports" is a very wide variety of cars. at least split it up into FWD/AWD/RWD

turbohf is right. we can't have too many classes. we need to figure out how we can make this work, and make it as simple as we can. if we make it too compicated and people don't show up, then im gonna

i remember at High School Drags tho, there seemed to be a pretty nice turnout of imports. But I guess splitting it up by manufacturer might be a little too much.

they will only let us have 4 classes. so we have to make the most of it.
ok this is what i have come up with. it might change a bit in the future, but not much.
1. street class
-fwd, rwd & awd allowed
-eng swap allowed from the same manufacture
-full interior and all body pannels on the car, including head lights
-dot approved tires only
-full exhaust
-pump gas only
-one power adder allowed
2. True N/A class no nos
-fwd, rwd & awd allowed
-eng swap allowed from the same manufacture
-slicks allowed
-race gas allowed
-wheelie bars allowed
3. Forced induction (turbo, supercharger, nos)
-fwd, rwd & awd allowed
-eng swap allowed from the same manufacture
-one power adder allowed
-slicks allowed
-all interior from driver forward must be maintained
-race gas allowed
-whillie bars not allowed
4. pro class
-bring whatever import you have
-multiple power adders allowed
-wheelie bars allowed
-slicks allowed

one power adder rule is lame
full exhaust for street cars is lame
what about people who don't deq? why ---- up the "street car" rules. if you can drive it on the street it should qualify right?

if you guys are seirously doing this. you should also seirously consider electronics. street class should be no delay no 2 step no shift light. and you need to figure out the electonics you want to allow in the classes. maybe aranging it by et?
all motor - slicks, delay box, shift light, 2 step etc. et of 14.3? and down bracket
power adders class - slicks, delay box, shift light, 2 step, et of 13.9 and down bracket
street class - dot approved tires, no 2 step, no electronics. bracket
unlimited class - slicks, any motor configuration, all electronics alloud heads up on a pro tree
you want to level the playing feild for consistancy, not limit the gasoline type and if they can have a swap or not.. thats retarded

you can run all those fandagled parts on street cars? how does having a two step or a shift light not make my car a street car?
funniest part is there are a lot of honduhs that woudldnt make it in your power adder class cause they wont run a 13.9 lol
