Boost is all controlled by the ecu on those *******. If you try to toss a manual boost controller I think the ecu compensates for it and just tosses a cel.

as long as you place the controller between the WG and the solenoid it will work. but factory VW turbo cars dont like it

yeah i've got a friend with a 1.8t and whenever he puts his mbc in, it's either at full boost or none at all. The throttle response gets all messed up somehow...

go get a revo reflash. and if it's an auto; reflash with giac and get the tip-chip too.

that with a swiss cheesed airbox and a k&n air filter should hold you over while you research all the fun things that engine can do. look to spend a few grand for a really fun 1.8t.

hell yes it is. remove that snowbox, smooth out your airbox, and throw a bigger intercooler on there. then go get REVO'd.

I'd pass on the k&n, the oil used on the "reuseable" air filters doesnt like vw/audi bosch hotwire mass airflow sensors. If you use a k&n, be aware of this. Last time I checked mas were about $99 w/core.

Flash is a good idea if you like passing emissions and making more power.
