2000ish Audi a4 1.8t awd for 1,500?

It looks like it has blown turbo and needs some coils, but it has a mint interior and exterior. If the engine is gone I plan on parting it out. I've read so far these cars are POS. Is that true? If I fix it I hope to get atleast 5-6k for it. So does this car sounds like a good 1,500 investment?

If all it needs are coils and a turbo, go for it.

The only deal I got was a bmw 325i at 2500$ but no power stearing, right wheel bearing gone, exaust leak, ducktape pflow and had more rust than my teg... At least the engine was good :P

I went there and the girl said to me: "I went to the garage and they said to me that there was no oil anywhere"

thanks for the info and bye bye!

2000ish Audi at 1500$ is pretty cheap... I want a deal like this too!

Check the timing belt. If it jumped forget it and move on.

1.8t is full of fail, I think we already had a thread about this...

Rob i hope you didnt call me a tranny cause i have no clue what i said let alone you.

Yeah i was trying to stay away from 1.8t's cause i know they have some "issues" but high milage turbo motors scare me. If you plan to flip after fix i dunno. too much of a margin to find all sorts of expensive issues once you dive in. I can see a 1500 invest ment growing to a 2500 investment quick.
