I really don't like hip hop. but the beats are okay, but the vocal recordingds sound pretty unprofessional. If you are doing it at home you need a condensor mic and some compression.

the ---- sound good man, just not clear. if you get it redone in a professional studio it will be a hit, I would buy it, riding musik nigga. gon play me sounds really good. and the beats all sound like I could tear them up with reggae, reggae hiphop, yu know!

pretty much sums it up. I digs the second one, the first one I couldn't listen to it all, but it might be the type of stuff peoples would bump, may be a goodie, but just not for my ears.

That isnt half bad.You should really approach someone with a proper studio and see if they will let your record that in a proper setup.Im not a huge into hip-hop but I do listen to some.

Other than the recording quality that everyone has comented on and I'm sure your aware of, theres a lot of potential there. I'd consider using a better keyboard/pads, those sound a little chincy, a real piano would sound way more classy (don't turn around) and get out of the habit of using samples. I'm 95% sure as of 2003 its illegal to use samples no matter how unrecognizable it is from the original.

lol its not illegal to use samples, but you have to pay the owner of the song to use them. Also, as long as he doesn't profit off the song with the sample, he can use it as much as he wants

the 3rd song from the bottom is pretty dope. Maybe the chorus could be a lil shorter, but its cool besides that.

i should of worded that better. Unless the sample is public domain or has an expired copyright it is illegal to sample ANY of it w/out consent. Doesn't matter how small it is, how chopped up or unrecognizable it is from the original. I did a quick search on the net and looked over my notes and haven't seen anything saying that private use is an exception.

i was also off on the date, it was 2004, not 2003. Bridgeport Music Inc. VS Dimension Films

that reminds me of when my buddy in high school and i recorded "The Offwhite Album" a hip hop cd for our senior project, seemed only fitting because my high school was in the ghetto
