those things are getting down there in price...a completely original mint 91 SI these days can be had for the ~2K range.

A clean, rust free, virgin, 91 Si? I'd feel okay paying 3000 to 3500 for that car. As long as it met those criteria....

If I found a mint, rust free, and overall very good condition 88si, Id pay up to 3k.

Ive had my 91 since 98ish when it had 74k on it. It was a russian rebuild, but didnt know it then. Over the years my constant 'modifying', and driving habits have taken its toll. I cant believe Ive never wrecked that thing yet.

Yeah, getting a real deal RHD Sir has certainly crossed my mind; if I could get it legit and know I could license/insure it.
Thats one car I would NOT molest. Someday......

I picked mine, 90 crx si, y49, bone stock, mint condition, interior was showroom new, body was great, everything worked, no rust, for 2200 from a small used car place. Id pay more, but i try not too...

Any parts of the body chasis that are more prone to rust on the CRX that I should be looking for ?
I am looking at an 1988 and a 1991 ?

88 = lighter but has funky trans
91 (if Si) has rear disks, better bumper (looking anyways).

look for rust UNDER the rocker covers (those little plastic things that run along the length of the door, but below it.), behind the rear bumper, inside rear fenders.

between 88 and 91, the selling point for me is the 88 have the seat beats on the pillar, i hate the door mounted belts >:(

But I have owned 2 civic/crxs with door mounted belts, they are okay, I just don't like them very much.

A clean CRX i mean mint clean, 3000-3500 if you got the loot. But, 2k would be a fantasic price for it.

88 has different spline counts and clutch diameter than 89+
