1988 HF hatch
 
i just purchased an 88 hf hatch today with a blown motor (timing belt snapped) its a d15b1 16valve with the d15b2 head work on this motor?

The b6 (HF engine) is 8 valves, only only has 2 valves per cylinder. So the tops of the pistons dont have the extra valve reliefs. HOWEVER.. It seems some people have been putting these heads on HF's and have had good sucess, (no bent valves etc. I think their is an article at www.hondaswap.com or something.

If something happens dont blame me! ;)

i did some research on the STD Hatchback, which is not an HF like i said before. It has a 70hp d15b1 which is basically the same as the d15b2, different ECU, camshaft, and it has a restrictor plate within the tbody.
