1600 HP 6 second Civic
 

Take it easy its a funny car not a street car. Its in the April issue of Sport Compact Car. It runs a twin turbo, four cam NSX V6 rear wheel drive setup. If any one can find pics on line that would be great. Othewise I will scan the magazine and post later.

i dont know why people insist on calling tube frame cars civic, integras, crx's, etc
they are in no way any of those, especially this one RWD NSX engine civic...right

well its like calling an acura or honda an import. even tho its probly built in ohio like every other one that honda makes. its just the badge or name of a product used that makes it what it is. i have a escort witha JDM motor swap but you don't se me calling it a mazda. LOL

anyways that car is sick! i jsut want 11's screw 6's.

Well, it's just like if you call a drag car the Cavalier drag car or a Ion and etc, its just what they decided to make the car look like, don't gotta go psycho over it.

That car is sick though.. need that setup in my Civic :P

my honda was built in canada, and i also find it anoying when people pass off tube frame race cars after a specific make or model from a company when it has nothing incommon with it other than a fiber glass body for the sheer purpase of marketing. whats more anoying is seeing old guys at the track throwing fiberglass beretta bodys on 50K dollar tube frame dragsters and throwing some radical paint job on it. do they not realise that berettas are the uglest cars ever made? example http://www.racingjunk.com/exec/ca/vi...-Race-Car.html

There isn't even an oem nut or bolt on that car. It's nice, but it's not a civic.


BTW: He's got a 4 seater sand rail with a twin turbo nsx in it too.

is it right hand drive? if its not then i highly doubt it was unless it was pre like 83 civic. then it would be a cvcc corect?

That car was built in Blaine MN by Don Ness racing. He builds Pro Stock cars and parts for top end race cars. Its the same frame that the Pro Stock Chevy guys run, just modded to fit the carbon fiber Civic body on it. Call it what you want, its still has a 1600HP V6 Honda motor and it runs in the 6s at over 200MPH. ;D

what does right hand drive have to do with being made in japan. my rex was made in japan. there is a blue plate inside my door jam not a white sticker like the ones made here.

Yeah my civic too, built in Japan, for the US market.

Are those Carb stickers on the AEM charge pipes, they look like it. I doubt you can buy those, and that are street legal ;)

My car was made in japan, for sho. :D Look at your VIN number; if it start with a "J", it was made in Japan. 1,2, or 4, it was made in the US. 3, Mexico, etc.

You're a real smart one. Your VIN will tell you what manufacturing plant your car is from. One of mine was made in Suzuka, Japan.

Is this the first time you heard of this car anthony? hes been in the scene for along time. The car was built 1 1/2 years ago. I got to check it out up and close last year at the vegas event, and even meet him. He has a homosexual voice (queer eye style) but is pretty cool.

Sorry, dont get out much. It was in SCC so I just figured it was new. New or not a 1600HP V6 is cool. The America Hotrod show just did a twin turbo small block corevet and only(only?) got 1500HP out of it.

I love how these post start out on topic and end up about somthing else. How did we get on the JDM thing?

that 1600hp v6 is a race engine

the ~1500hp aprox they didnt know for sure v8 in that corvette is a street engine.

check the boost levels on both engines/type of gas/ext...

i thought you would be more knowledgable than that.
