My brother bought one of those bio diesel machines that converts vegetable oil into bio diesel. Then he started going around to all the places in town that have to pay to get rid of the ----, and started picking it up for free. Now he runs his semi and my dad's F250 off the ---- and doesn't worry about diesel prices or what might happen if we get in a pissing match with our foreign oil suppliers.

Needless to say my next vehicle will be diesel.

If you like turbos; you'll love a 12v Cummins. It's all about the Detroit 60-series with a 102mm compressor exducer in a T6 frame.

why do you want single cam junk?
---- 2 valves, theres a reason 99% of new diesels are 4 valve, and the only cummins worth anything is the ISX, swap in one of those O0

Because the VP44 is junk, no fuel, no power. The CR engines are still out of the reach $$$ wise of most people for modding these engines, and only recently have begun to compete with the 12V p-pump for overall power.

1) Banks is overpriced and gay
2) Adjust your waste gate, as you are just blowing hot air, and will snap the shaft on that hx35. You are not making anymore power there then at 38#'s (For those that know me and my truck I realize this is a bit of the pot calling the kettle, but my waste gate does not work with the turbo as my turbo is off a piece of equipment not a truck, and the waste gate is physically will not fit. If it did I would have it adjusted down, and when I finally have a chance to get the twins on it will get an external gate.)
3) I love dually's

That is all for now.

Re: 12v cummins

Stay away from the VP44. Everybody I know with a 24V who has owned a 12V wishes they still had a 12V. The VP44 is a ------- curse and the shitty things are always the weak link. If you're looking for gobs of power and you don't want to replace a $1700 pump(for a good one) once a year, stick with the 12V. You would be surprised what you get for MPG if you keep your foot out of it. Diesel fuel is more expensive, but it's worth it IMO. ---- a gas motor.

Re: 12v cummins

you cant chip a 12 valve its all mechanical. what id do is do some 200 hp injectors turn the pump up and straight pipe it then get a k@n filter and a big turbo. some cool diesel websites are www.thedieselgarage.com www.peirsdiesel.com not sure it thats right. nothing like having pure power climbing steep passes passing everyone blowin black smoke

ya i really like the 6bt. i think it would be cool to put a 4bt in an older pickup or suv. i know those yotapickups have diesel engines in other countries. i would kill for one of those.

imo the older dodges were great in there day, but they start to suck after 10 years... Drove one for a while, it just didnt have any pick up and go, it could pull anything you put on it, but you just couldint get on the highway to save your life.. And to get it back to good running condition was like a 5k overhaul ---- that ----.

Anyone know anything about fords? I have a 92 with the 7.3 ( i think?) 250 thousand on it, had it forever, runs amazing, went through emissions a month ago and the guy said he couldn't believe how well it scored. Anyways, its the non-turbo diesel, but for some reason it never revs above 3k when yellow is at 4 and redline is at 5. I don't know...

Also i have been thinking about putting a turbo in this motor, as it is a torque beast, and will haul at slow speeds, but it is slow as piss.

These things last for ------- ever. Guy here in town has a 91 dually, with over 1.2million miles on it. Original motor went to over 800K then he overheated it and replaced it preemptively, that motor went on elsewhere.
If its slow, its likely in need of an injector overhaul, possibly a injection pump overhaul.

Yup it needed new injectors, the pump needed work, the turbo neede to be rebuild, and some other stupid ----.. Desiel mechanic said like 5k lol, so that was a no go..

Probly could have done it cheaper myself, but i dont work on company vehicals, 20hr for mechanical work is lame, and all they were willing to give me was my hrly rate... :(
