1000hp straight 6? supras and skylines have done that for awhile. one that comes to mind is the 1,360hp veilside skyline. 215mph and street driven. |
Re:1000 hp 4.0 for production engine??
Yeah arn't there skylines out there that are putting out over 1600 hp or something rediculous like that.
|
Re:1000 hp 4.0 for production engine??
Also arn't they substantualy smaller then a 4.0?

Re:1000 hp 4.0 for production engine??
I want one!!! :D That thing is so friggin schweet
|
Re:1000 hp 4.0 for production engine??
ya but the motor's are shot after one race (designed that way).
|
Re:1000 hp 4.0 for production engine??
why thats kinda dumb
seems like they would spend all the prize money on a new engine :D |
Re:1000 hp 4.0 for production engine??
Those golden age F1 engines have a higher specific power output than a top fuel dragster, yet they last a thousand times longer.
|
Re:1000 hp 4.0 for production engine??
hmm.. i wonder if hasport has a mount kit for my coupe? ;)

Yeah but do you know how stressful one race is?? It probably equals about 1,000,000 normal miles |

Re:1000 hp 4.0 for production engine??
With a last run of 1035hp – running a mild 23 psi boost how much boost is the skyline running, 30+?, does the skyline have a great torque curve? does the skyline run on 98 octane? does the skyline maintain its drivability? |

Re:1000 hp 4.0 for production engine??
Those old F1 engines didn't rev as high as the modern ones, they just didn't have to with their 70psi+ boost.
The modern ones just don't impress me, they only make about 900hp at max, they are 3000cc and they rev higher than damn. High revving is generally much more stressful on an engine than boost. |
