1.6 vs. 5.7?????????

well, i'm not much to post 'kill stories' and rarely mention anything of the sort without at least some shitty video footage, but tonight i finally got a chance to get my car tuned after the rebuild (keep in mind i was driving around with broken ringlands for two weeks and thought it was pretty quick), so i messed around all day and gradually got on it a little harder every time i'd take it out, well, after a couple quick rapings, coming back to the house, checking my plugs and a couple compression tests (really paranoid with stock used pistons), i finally convinced myself that everything was fine, and ---- it if it wasn't. so i went driving around town for a little while, walked quite a few lightly modded gt's, which is no big deal, that's a given. the real smile maker came on my way home when an older guy in an 03 vette goes flying by me, then he had to slow down b/c of traffic, so i returned the favor to him when i got an opening in my lane and flew by him, we both slowed down to about 50 and let the traffic in front of us clear up a bit, then we gunned it, i only was able to wind out third by the time we caught up with traffic again, but had him by about half a car. we kept near eachother and got to where the road we were on raised up to 55mph, so the traffic in front of us cleared much quicker and we got a bigger opening, i dropped it in third again, around 50mph, we started pulling, by the time i hit the top of third, i had him by a car, banged it in to fourth and just kept pulling. i was super stoked about it, and the old guy was cool, when he turned off, he honked his horn and gave me a thumbs up. car is much quicker with normal compression, the tires were breaking loose at about 6k in third, i couldn't believe it. damn, i know this is a hotrex type post, but i had to share. came back home, checked the plugs again, did another compression test, everything's good, so i've gotten rid of the paranoia and i'm ready to start raping it again daily >:D

Looks like you got yourself a solid mid-low 13 second car. Nice job on the kill, I'm sure it's a good feeling knowing that an engine 3½ times smaller can keep up.

Actually, you're right. I was basing that off of what a stock LS1 vette runs. Forget Projekteg has slicks. Nice 12 second car ;)
