1/4 mile E.T.

I own a 1990 CRX DX converted to MPFI with a D16A6. I am in the process of turboing it right now. My turbo is off of an 1986 Dodge Colt GTS TURBO, the motor was made by Mitsubishi. Does anyone have any similar setups? What are your E.T's? What kind of setup do you run? Let me know! I want to get an idea on what I will be running!

ok man, im sick of people asking for what others think theyre 1\4 time is gunna be. we both know that you probably a horrible driver. so i bet that youll hit around a 16.5 mr. pop a clutch.

Re:1/4 mile E.T.

If you can drive, and maybe some traction, I don't see why maybe a 13.8 or lower?

Go for it.

hey nova, how about u back the ---- off, ur just as much of a noob as he is, so you have no room to talk. plus, u drive a nova. so go away. ur 1st post on this board is one in which u rip on someone?? and no he wont run 16.5 you jackass. my grandmother could run better than that in a d16 turbo rex.

NOVA
For some reason little fucks like you piss me off. I just was interested in what people were running, and what their setups were. I also just wanted to see if someone else was running the same setup, so I could get an idea. First of all, a stock SI runs a 16.5 so if I boost it I will be doing a little bit better. For your next post, you might want to think before you put your fingers on the keyboard.

hahaha that was funny this guy just registered today and he is already pissed off at people in the forum. As far as your questuion goes "badnasty" There is too many things that factor in to give you an exact time of what you might run. I say make yourself a goal and keep working on your car until you get it.

Re:1/4 mile E.T.

I am not just wanting to know what I will run, I want to know what other setups are doing! As for me being pissed off, I think I have the right to set people straight if I want to. It shouldn't matter how long I have been registered, he pissed me off and I wanted to tell him what I thought of him. If you have something to say that is not going to be off subject post it, otherwise I don't care about your opinion!

whoa slow down there... I was talking about the other guy not you. I was just saying it would be hard to estimate a time. Just set some goals and go for it.

Re:1/4 mile E.T.

people ask these stupid ---- head questions everyday. your car with a turbo will be faster than it is now. is that enough lol?

i would guess in the 14s or maybe 15s cause that turbo is hella small.

if you're going to ask this q we have to know more than just crx d16a6 and colt turbocharger.

d16a6 = ~100hp? + maybe 40 from turbo.

140hp? probably high 14s with perfect traction?

Re:1/4 mile E.T.

Lots of variables here. Ill take a stab. Get the fueling even close with whatever you decide to supply it with, run stock timing on 7psi and I'd guess 14.4 good driver. 15.0 smokey burnout and missed/grandma shifts.

Sit down for a few hrs and read the whole sit. Take a few months and collect the parts, put the ---- on and I'll guarantee you wont be disapointed... ;)

Re:1/4 mile E.T.

bla bla bla ;D that's yo answer.
Just joking man.
Leed and randrom-strike are right, to many variables.
also depends on how much you're going to boost.
Just slap on the turbo and see.
It will be faster though.

Re:1/4 mile E.T.

Thanks, finally some actual answers the pertain to the subject.

Beerbongskickass,
Sorry dude, I thought you were flaming on me, because that was also my 1st post, and I had only registered yesterday. I figured that out, only after reading it a few more times.

As for my setup:
D16A6
Mitsubishi TC04 Turbo (7psi)
MX-6 Intercooler
MX-6 BOV
Chipped PR4 ECU
2"exhaust
AEM CAM GEAR (What should I set this at?)

Tell me what you have been running at the track and your setup!

Semnos 04-26-2003 01:35 PM

Re:1/4 mile E.T.

I haven't been to the track yet.
I'm unlucky, cause there is no track in this country..on may the 29th there is a race though they are taking the straith from a race circuit to dragrace there.
By then my setup is finished and I'll go and test my setup out.
My setup.
brown top DOHC ZC
Toyota CT20(b?)
Chrysler intercooler
Bosch BOV
DSM 450's
Turbonetics Deltagate Wastegate
FTB(works like a AFC hack)
chipped PJ1 ecu(Ghettodyne...need to control the fuel)
downpipe 2" for now
exhaust custom 3"

To judge a setup by such a relitive number as quarter mile ET's is purely moronic...
