I found out the hard way. I wrecked my dad's truck and it was almost totaled. The insurance company paid a tad over $10k to fix it and he paid $15k for it. The had to fix the front right fender, the rear door (extended cab Ranger), new bed, leaf springs, pulled the frame. I got to pay his deductible for that little stunt...

well i just about finished typing up the inccident report im going to be giving the claims adjuster today , pretty much my side of the story, if everything adds up, they'll take my word over his, that he hit me, and ill be covered under his policy, now hopefully all the ---- gets fixed right, and they pay my medical bills,
Im getting an MRI, (bumped my head on the glass, and ive been having a mad headache ever since) and i need to see a chiropractor, because my neck hurts like hell, and i dont want it to be something serious that could have been prevented
i did the math and its going to be around 7,500$ worth of parts (brand new OEM Honda ----) plus labor, whatever that will be,
I need a new bumper, fender, door, rim, tire, strut, spring, knuckle, tie rod, LCA, ball joint, subframe, side curtain airbag assembly, new S.C.A.B sensor, door pilar, roof liner, and a bunch of little brackets, and bolts and misc ----, plus paint and labor... its probably going to be around 10K+ I say theres a 50/50 chance they end up totaling the bitch.
oh yeah, and i only had it for 2 weeks not 3, i was just getting used to driving it.

That sucks Albert. I now it can be fixed but it sucks for you. Its like walking down the street eating the best ice cream cone you have had in your life and then some ****** bumps into you and you drop it. Yeah you can get another one but it wont taste the same

definately go for the total, it will never drive the same again, and even if it does, any little quirck will drive you nuts thinking back to this.
