my friends mom had her batery changed in her 02 civic and now the radio is asking for a code. they called the dealer and they ased for the code on the back of the radio. they couldnt figure how to get it out so i came over np. the dealer wants 75$ for the code to get it to work. anyone work at a honda dealer or has a way to get the code for less. thanks for the help

 

uasally the code is on a card in or around the manual, if not pull the radio write down all the numbers and a guy on ebay will do it for 15.00

 

Its in the glovebox if i remember correctly. Had the same problem with my girlfriends car.

BTW, our Honda dealership guy showed us where the code was, we stepped inside for a few and when we came back out the radio worked again. They didn't charge anything.

 

try calling another dealersghip....i had to do it to an integra, and they were fine about giving me the code

 

yea i think ill try a nother dealership. im trying to find the guy on ebay bot no luck. the car was used so there was no owners manuel or any code for the radio that i could find. if a nother dealer cant help then i will try and find the guy on ebay. \\

I have gotten a half dozen codes for free from my dealership. Just bring in the radio.
