If you scratch the paint on those things and the guy wants it restored to how he got it, it will cost a lot. Brake pads are something like a grand a set for Lambos or some ---- like that. Any kind of service gets expensive.

12+ coats, hand rubbed between coats, not including bodywork or prepping the actual surface?

FYI, £20K > $25K.
