*UPDATE*
Me and my lawyer are going to meet with the owner of the shop in the morning. My insurance company hand-delivered me my $6000 check and said wherever i wanna go then that's fine.

go there with a trailer and your lawyer, or go there with your lawyer and the tow fee, and tell them the car better be in your garage with 1G in the glove box for the ---- that was stolen by them.(or the parts they took) I would almost bet that they stole everything to make money from you. people do it here all the time to. "I have a part almost Identical to that in that yard back there, I'll fix it for $X.XX" its a scam man. read between the lines.

Yeah that sounds pretty illegal that theyre trying to railroad you on that ----, sounds like a scam for real, if i were you id go with what these guys are saying, get your *** a lawyer.. somthing is very not right here

It is the best word in the dictionary for people like us. I am so tired of people trying to take advantage of people in our situations (trying to make money, starting a fam., putting a lot of time and money into a car).
Have your counsel go hard from the beginning, it will make the half *** scammers fall quick. If they still give you a hard time, have counsel throw more chrages, and call the BBB. These people count on people being pushovers, so if you come as hard as you can (so to speak), they will realize you arent one to be fucked with, and the situation will work out.

I guess taking the lawyer down there will work, but at very minimum get the police over there to take a police report. Is their yard not fenced in or what? That's deffinately a scam. Tow Companies are all scammers.
