The car looks pretty good

With that said

Read the FAQ, a lot is answered there.
Pretty much as a basic daily driver any d-series engine from 88-2000 will run pretty good with a t3 42/48 from a saab or a volvo. I ran an IHI first, now I have a t3 from a volvo, a lot better I'm happy with it.

180-200hp is very possible, actually it should get close to that with a turbo.

Way too much money $3500 or so plus install assuming you can;t do it yourself. If I had $3500 to spend on an engine I would not waste it on a supercharger.

If you have $3,500 to spend build that ---- and boost the crap out of it. It will last a long time. I tried hard not to bash him. You don't have to leave, just read.
