***My new winter beater***

I got jelous of everybody else getting winter beaters so I had to get one. Actually I just needed something to put my bike in for Glamis season. I think I need to get rid of it though. I keep looking at the engine wondering how a twin turbo setup would look on it. I'm fucked. I'm never going to be able to own a vehicle without a turbo on it. :-\

Anyways, here are the pics.

Not bad for only $1000. It has 92,000 on it and runs like a champ. It does some nice one legged burnouts too. The first night I got it(Friday)I was taking it to show my brother and got pulled over for doing a burnout. This wouldn't have been so bad if I hadn't been drinking Corona's all night. The guy I bought it from kept feeding them to me and I couldn't leave. I went through the whole field sobriety test thing and somehow I passed. I could see my heartbeat in my chest through my shirt. I figured I was going to jail for sure. I did the walk a straight line thing pretty good and then came the stand on one foot and count to 30 routine. I watched the foot that was in the air shake while I wobbled on the other one. I was getting ready to just tell him to ---- himself and shove his tests up his ass because I figured he knew I was drunk. To my amazement he said "Well, I have three or four more tests that I could give you, but if you passed that last one I'm sure you'll pass the other ones." I was shocked and extemely happy at the same time. I think I'm going to be a bit smarter next time. ::)
Here is a pic after a quick wash.

I bet one of my neighbors jacks my rims within a week or so. I really wouldn't be mad. :-[

Nice bike Doc.

Oh yeah i like the truck too ;D

Re:***My new winter beater***

Haha, yeah the funny thing is the bike is worth thousands more than the truck. Private party blue book is over $3000 for the truck. With those dubs it's worth at least $10,000. :-X

ya know doc, 350 will drop right on it there ::) that and a turbo, and your set... the winter beater usually becomes next years project... dig that bra. yo, you still got that alum radiator?

Re:***My new winter beater***

Check out that Bra!!! Nice beater Doc, I have to find one too real soon.

Dr.Boost 09-14-2003 01:39 PM

Re:***My new winter beater***

I was thinking about that, but a twin turbo setup on this 4.3 V6 would be cool. Hopefully I won't even touch the motor. This thing needs to make it out of town still. I'm going to try not to do any mods to it and just drive it.

I still have the radiator. Are you interested?

I really think you should loose the Manzeer, er sorry, bra. lol

Re:***My new winter beater***

I agree. I tried to, but it has been on there for over 10 years and if I took it off you could still see it. I might take it off anyways. I'm not a fan of bras. ;) I prefer topless.

Are you serious? I stared at that fucker forever trying to figure out what it was. What does the guy say at the end? I can't figure it out. ???

Without the bra:

A lot of that ---- will wash off, but damn. That bra fucked it up. :-X There isn't one dent/ding in this whole truck. Pretty amazing for being almost 13 years old.

if it doesn't wash out, use some rubbing compound my friend. that ---- does wonders for removing scratched, dirt, etc.

Damn, who did the exhaust work? Those tips are hanging a bit too low. How much are you asking for the wheels? i think my beater needs some new ones. :-X

Re:***My new winter beater***

One tip if you ever drive that thing in snow... Get sandbags. MANY MANY sandbags and place them directly over the rear axle.

Its like driving with Falken Azenis on ice ;D

Dr.Boost 09-14-2003 06:47 PM

Re:***My new winter beater***

I don't think it will ever see snow, but I know what your saying. This thing has no traction whatsoever. I had it in the desert today and it sucks ass. It just wants to spin the tires. I can light the tires up past second gear on the street and it's an automatic.

Damn you!!!!! Now I have to mod this fucker. I was trying not to look at stuff like that. ----, I think I'm going to start looking around for parts now. Great, another project. ::)

Nice video. From the looks of the two cars I would have thought the S10 would have lost. Looks can be deceiving. 8)

Re:***My new winter beater***

s10s are WAY lighter than chevelles lol

my 69 weights 4400 pounds.

Dr.Boost 09-14-2003 10:47 PM

Re:***My new winter beater***

We took it to the dump and with 2 passengers and a dog the truck weighed about 4000. So I figure 400-450 pounds worth of extra weight puts it at about 3550. Not to bad I guess.

Haha, I was waiting for someone to ask that. My Civic is no longer with us. :'( This will be my daily driver for a while. :( On the plus side, it has air conditioning!! I'm ------- stoked about that. I haven't had an air conditioned vehicle in almost 4 years. It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't hit 120-130 degrees out here! :o

Dr.Boost 09-15-2003 10:19 PM

Re:***My new winter beater***

Actually it gets a little colder than that here. I'd say around 40. That's cold enough for me. It's different here because it's sooooo dry. My hands in the winter time look like they went through a garbage disposal. Some nasty cracks. :-X
