$800,000 flying Ferrari

Check this link: http://www.overboost.com/blog/category/inventions/
Supposedly Ferrari is making this car that can fly upto an altitude of 5,000ft.

That looks completely rediculous and a flying death trap. So would you need a pilot license to drive this thing? Oh and the need to refuel every 75 miles by air, or 150 miles by land just spells failure in my book. Enzo is crying in his grave right now.

yeah even though moller idea has been around for at least 15yrs. I think that Moller still be a reality before the flying Ferrari.

I don't believe it.

What's the method of propulsion on that thing? I see no propeller, which wouldn't be too feasible anyway due to how low the car sits. I don't imagine it using a jet engine and carrying two different fuels, AND being a hybrid.

BS.

Why would you need two different fuels?

Re: $800,000 flying Ferrari

so how much would it cost you to drive on ur own ------ road with a wingspan that takes up 3 lanes?

Its bad enough with the ricers with their huge shopping cart handles on their car.....this is just giving them something to strive for....with less than 180hp and a whole ---- ton of noise. "We have take off......oh ---- my NAWZ is empty"

Even if a joke, it's gay considering a Cesna can get 30mpg.

edited for my ignorance

Mine gets only about 12mpg at cruise :-(

Re: $800,000 flying Ferrari

I don't know a whole lot about them, but I was reading something about the diesels getting 30-35 at cruise a few weeks ago. I'll try to dig it up. Maybe it was an NA 12a rotary and not a diesel.
