$200 Quad Pics
 

I picked this up yesterday for $200. It needs a new kick starter and the shifter was snapped off.

I am not sure what year or model it is

Its water cooled
250 4 stroke
5 speed w/reverse

Any help or info on what this is would be great!

I just started riding like 2 months ago with my buddy sharing his Honda Quad.

Isn't that a Mojave?? I know kawasaki built a mojave quad. I've only seen one, though, and that was a while back. Looks like a good pickup for $200.

I also am having trouble finding the VIN#

I need the find out more info on this thing so I can get the parts needed

I am sick of pop starting this thing!

I already told you what it is. It's a ------' Mojave...I did a google search and VOILA!!! there it was. Johnny isn't the only person around here that know's about this kind of ----...hell, he isn't even from the south. Rexsk8r and his dad had one of these things that they were puttin' a ZX-7 engine in.

Ask ramdom people if they know anyone that wants to sell a quad, thats what I did

I said $200 as is and I didn't even have the money to blow, but said ---- it I want one!

push start it, could be a pain if it needs tuned up or something.

clean the carb, new spark plug, or clean the old one.

try and start it.

if it won't start adjust the valves

then start it.

i've gotten so many junk atvs and motorcycles running this way. after people "can't get it to run no matter what, its junk" :)

We pull start it with the other quad

It runs ok for sitting for a few months. I am going to go thru it when I get money, it rides for now

I have a bunch of atv parts laying around. Is the kickstart there? Is it broken inside the motor? Take a picture of the right side of the motor where the kickstart goes and i will see if i got what you need. Also, the vin is usually located on the frame below the engine on the side with the shifter.

Look at a map, I live on an island (Middletown, Rhode Island)

The VIN is on the frame around the lower A-arm either on the right or left side. While most manufactures put all motorcycle VINs on the steering head, quads are a crapshoot as there was no standard place. i

nice pickup, i had a mojave i had one when i was younger they are pretty quick think of a 250 version of a modern 450 they rev high pull hard at high rpm but make good torque
and their damn reliable
but watch your exhaust valves, they like to burn up their exhaust valves if you open up the exhaust (even if you rejet they just run hot)
