Default ZEX install -- lots of pics

ok well this is how it went. my buddy just bought this kit because he does spontaneous ---- like that.. hes crazy. well anyway this was goin on his BMW e46 01, but never got working because BMW's SUCK well not realy :P but we couldnt get it going because the fuel pressure regulator was in a spot that just coudnt be used and the TPS sensor was in the throttle body, its not like a honda where its just on the side.....god i love honda's so if you own a BMW and want to put a ZEX kit on it, i wouldnt recomend it.
anyway on with the pics

well hears the kit... dosent it look so sexy

we ran the line in the car because he wanted to use it in the winter. why you ask, it would be fun in the snow

hooked up to intake tube

well after all this and more. it never got finished because of the god damn stupid *** FPR and TPS
but its not over yet.
well the next day another buddy of mine decided he wanted to buy the kit this time it was a 02 chevy silverado 4.6 and this time we ran into no problems at all, well except for guessing on wicth wire on the TPS was wide open throttle, there where only 3, so it was just a guess and check realy. but this time we justed wanted to feel what a 55 shot would feel like, soooo we ghetto rigged the ---- out of it. where not to patient :P
on with the pics of the new setup.....

very clean silverado, this truck is suprisingly very fast stock. with just simple modifications. intake/exhaust/plug n play mapping

and of course the new bottle location, gotta have the 30 rach. ghetto style :P

module all in place and hooked up

nitrius out, hooked to intake

this was the TPS hook up where we had to guess and check. starts flowin at wide open throttle

well since we just wanted to feel the nooozzzzzzz so bad lol. we just put the activation switch under the hood for now, just needed a little electric tape to hold it in place

a quick fill-up on 93 and where off... needs at leest 92 for kit. dont want any detonation

well all in all, the kit was very basic. a fun install. i would definetly recomond the kit. well at leest not for a bimmer :P
so how did the silverado go. well it gos crazzy fast, and its only a 55 shot. the speedo moves like the wind, and you gota love spinnin through 1st 2nd and 3rd

just be carefull you dont blow the welds on the intake :P

Inadequate fuel management man. Have fun toasting the motor.

Good thing your friend didn't trash his bmw.

But ----, as long as it's not your car, who cares?

Either way, decent writeup. Nice pics.

yea i think hes gonna get a fuel pressure regulator to bump the fuel up a bit. ZEX tells you its totally safe to do the 55 shot. but when your doin the 65 or 75 to just reduce timming 2- 4 degrees and cram more fuel they make it sound so safe :P
yea the kid whos got the truck dosent care, hes a gettin an 04 silverado very soon

and thanks for sayin somethin quadnie, i thought no one would. what do you think is a more reliable way to use the kit, like fuel wise, well other than not havin it at all :P

im guessin like fuel pump, and spark plugs. nothin to major

this is from ZEX:

ZEX "Dry" Nitrous Kit

ZEX has designed the ultimate "Smart" Nitrous System. The ZEX "Dry" Nitrous System, using our patented fuel control technology, reads the nitrous bottle pressure and adjusts the fuel enrichment accordingly. If it is a cool day out and the nitrous bottle pressure is around the 700 psi range, the nitrous system will add less enrichment fuel than if it is a warm day and the nitrous bottle is at 950 psi. This unique feature ensures that you always have the optimum ratio of nitrous and fuel, never too rich, never too lean. This ensures maximum power and safety at all bottle pressures. Once armed, the kit is activated at wide-open throttle by a programmable electronic sensor that "learns" the voltage curve of your TPS sensor. This design ensures your nitrous is engaged at the perfect throttle point every time. The design of the ZEX "Dry" Nitrous System makes the simplest, safest, and easiest to install kit on the market.

basicly this means everything is controlled by the module, witch allows only a certain amount of nitrous into the intake. it controls the rate of flow by reading the setting of the fuel pressure to insure more or less fuel into the intake. this is why ZEX is the most safest kit out there.

Hey crx2fast, my brother and I installed that kit a while back on an Isuzu Rodeo and noticed that when you have the switch armed and you full throttle it to activate it, the solenoid box clicks on and off multiple times... Did you notice the same thing or is it not supposed to do that?
It was definately spraying, but you can hear the solenoids clicking constantly. I'm not sure if it's a way to control No2 to fuel ratio or what. trance

hehe, oh yeah... that Rodeo was traded in after going through a bottle of nitrous with a 75 shot jet the motor was starting to make some funny knocking sounds

Its not supposed to keep clicking. It should just click "ON" and then click "OFF" It doesnt go "CLICK"-"CLICK"-"CLICK"-"CLICK"-"CLICK"-"CLICK"-"CLICK"-"CLICK"-"CLICK"-"CLICK"-"CLICK"
