zc psi

i know some of you here have a dual cam zc but most of yours are probably built but as of now mine is bone stock and i have a projected boost range of 8-10 lbs and i am wondering if you guys have or had experiance with your stock zc's on boost.just wondering how much it will hold before it grenades!!

(your friends) posts are welcome here just want input.

Re: zc psi

Ran mine for 2 year stock. 8psi then up to 11psi. When I pulled it apart to build it, no visable signs of abuse or extrame wear, and I beat the living ---- out of it!

thats great i want to run 10lbs and now that i know it can handle it and still be reliable.also who tuned it. were you running just a base or a full tune.

Re: zc psi

I tuned it. WBo2 Street tuned.
11.9-12.3AFR across the boost maps, 14.5-15AFR at idle and cruising, Open loop, no Stock o2 sensor.

was it tuned with TE and if so do you still have the maps for it

Re: zc psi

Ya it was, I could dig them up, but I never suggest running someone elses tuned map thinking it perfect for them.

sikcrx89 06-14-2006 03:07 PM

Re: zc psi

know it wont be a perfect tune for me but i just had xeno burn me a chip from another guys maos he had a just looking for other maps that are close to my set-up so if one doenst run that well maybe i could try another until i get the whole grasp and get all the parts to tune myself

sikcrx89 06-14-2006 03:12 PM

Re: zc psi

also just had xeno put datalog in my ---- so even though it is somebody elses map i could run the auto tune function. right?

bumblezc 06-14-2006 03:13 PM

Re: zc psi

Autotune is not entirely trustworthy.

I'll dig for my maps, they'll be on my laptop at home.

what do you mean by not entirely trustworthy(problem within the software or problem with the map multipliers and such)

pretty much the same, but only 1 year and i hit up to 12psi daily, when i did the re-build(for more power) it looked good...and the whole time i boosted i ran on xenocrons base map and no intercooler

Re: zc psi

I've been running an uberdata basemap from xenocron on a ls with 10psi for almost a year and absolutly no problems. And yes the thing gets beaten hard and put away wet.

we have 92 in some spots in ohio but mostly 93 :)

Re: zc psi

Always run 91oct. I can get 94, but why?
#1 it's expensive
#2 not needed
#3 it's ethanol, my 91oct is straight gas, no corn and additives.
