z6/y7 pistons

hey i was wondering how long my pistons would hold up at 15lbs with an awesome tune on a 48/60 just for a lil while.. either my y7's or my z6's pistons with new rings. i was waiting to build my y8 block but im in college and have no income but really wanna get my y7 outta there its been running 10lbs on a t25 since june and it has 168,000 on it. so the plan was to block fill the y8 tt-rods and srps and then some head work running 20+ lbs on a 48/60. so right now im looking at just buying my rods and block filler stuff.. then some new rings and my z6 pistons just at 15 for the time being until i get money together then do the pistons. anyone think its a bad idea? im cheap but i want some more power

You're not going to run 15 lbs daily on a stock MAP that's for sure. Wouldn't even do it on a 3 bar. 10 lbs daily on that turbo will be fine if tuned correctly...

on what turbos are you guys running 15 lbs daily on? I'm going to raise the BS flag on that one.

Agreed. You need a different MAP sensor or your holding the same tune at 11.03psi on. Let's hear it fellas.

you can call bs all you want. i know that the stock map isn't sposed to hold more then 11psi, but i'm rollin 16 psi on a .48 .60 w/ stock map. like i said, i dk why

well to answer your question, just wait till you do both. dont do just pistons, or just rods.
