Youhou... Got my new turbo for 15 $$ !!!!
 

Alright... check it out.. the guy did not know what he was selling.. turbo has 15 000km on it. Paid 20$. The previous miss shifted the car and blew the engine... Now.. what kind of flange is that.. a T3 ???

Problem is its the 7cm flange, so I dont know if will perfectly fit that turbo you have there.

I almost 98% positive that turbo you got there is out of a Mitsubishi Cordia/Trevia. Old school DSM. ;)

well... it was taken off a 96 Eagle Talon (here in canada)... but people who saw the pic says it was originally from a Volvo s70 T5... td04Highlow (HL) 13g or 15T... not too sure...

BTW.. if it's the 7cm flange... then a T3 flange would fit on that turbo... right?

it wont fit properly. DSM flanges are rectangular with a circle in the center. The Garrett T3 family flanges are rectangular with rectangle centers. Besides that the recntangular dimensions of the the dsm and t3 flanges are off. Your going to need a DSM type flange, not a T3.

HAHAH! That's the SAME turbo I have! ..except one difference: Mine is a TD05H from a 92 Talon TSi. ;D

Oh, and guess what? I got mine FREE! HA! Hahah.. A friend of mine's Talon had a small engine fire on the driver's side, by the firewall. Two of the injectors melted, so I couldn't salvage them, but *ALL* of the turbo stuff was perfect!! Engine was new! (Probably caught fire because the people who installed it didn't install it correctly)./

But I got everything.. Turbo, Wategate, IC, piping, BOV.. whatever else I need.. I just go get it!

Hey that's great... I can also pickup up a Td05... does it really worth it over my brand spanking new to me td04 ??

I just want to run a decent 200hp on a b18b stock internals at 8 psi...

I would be very suprised if that turbo was taken off a 2g DSM (eclipse/talon) They stopped using the mitsu turbos on those cars in 94. Unless he burnt up his T-25 and needed a cheap replacement. That turbo is very similar to the T-25, they spool about the same, and yes it's stock actuated at 8psi. They spool incredibly fast on D-series motors. You can use the larger TD05h (14b) inlet flange if you cannot find the smaller one.

Most of been a new car... I checked their Wed, and found nothing good at all. Oh well, those turbos are to damn small anyways..

btw, I dont think your plate is going to get done.. lol, that guy hasnt showed up to work in awhile.

ahh the 1st MX-6 I did it took me forever to find that damn bracket under the turbo!

and what about that stoopid pipe that comes off the upper part of the manifold.. that thing's a bitch... I learned from that one and bring a hacksaw with me to the yards now =D

you should see up stairs in thew barn I got about 9 turbos from the back room at work some are shot and only good for parts ie housings wastegate actuaters. the best part is it was all free. maybe ill start pumpin out some first gen kit with all those manifolds i got ;)

---- that little fucker took me 15mins at least, i hate EGR valves (whats emissions? haha). i dont have any wrenches that big. luckly my vicegrips worked on that.

why would i tell the world where i get these? its a local junkyard, they mostly have ----. tons of chrysler turbos but there a bitch to take off ('self service' yard)...

secret: Get the yards engine picker.

lower the chain around fuel injection... Wrap around all the 10000 hoses. raise it breaking everything,

lower again wrap aroun intake manifold... raise till car lifts of stands.

get several large friends to jump on the raised car. til manifold cracks and bends a bit.

un bolt turbo off manifold,

unbolt the downpipe,

then unbolt the oil lines...


and bam 2 hours later your done...

well thats how we did it :) after 4 hours of trying to get intake mani off.


PS: make sure this is in a big ard where the staff wont see you doin this. at my yard they wont really care anyhow ...

also they have a 2 var map sensor on the 280ZX i think cause mine was when i got it
