yo...boost controller question..

Is there a difference between a home made boost controller and a TurboXS controller(beside looks)?

Is there any way I can make a home made boost controller like a t.v.v.c that I can adjust in my seat?

Any replys would help.

A guy that used to be a tech. with me had a Talon TSi that he made a HM boost controller using a butterfly valve. He got the idea of a DSM site and it supposely works but if you hit a hard bump and that valve opens all the way your F**** so I don't know about trusting it. Dude just look on alot of DSM or talon web site's they have ALL kinds of home made sh*t there I was looking at one where it tells you how to make your stock DSM BOV sound just like the Greddy Type-S. I was looking at it and there was too much involved and it loked to easy to mess up so I just bought a real greddy type-S BOV. But like I said just goto google or a search site and look at all the DSM pages I'm sure you'll find something. Also check out E-bay they have $30 homemade boost controllers on there all the time. My friend with a SR20 240sx just bought one and he said it works great.

all you need is a series of tiny valves inline on the wastegate hose...sometimes if its too far away it wont work right though...thats the cheapest way (you can use fish tank air valves)
