Nothing was changed on my long block, everything was stock on it. Motor nor head was cracked open. I just put the turbo setup on it and put it on 10lbs first and made 230whp then 15lbs made 280whp then on 16lbs it made 300whp. Your setup is looking pretty well to make 300whp, I know a guy that used the same turbo that you have on a single cam d16 and it made 300whp on about 19lbs of boost. The thing is that you have to make sure you have a solid tune on a dyno to make that much power and run it safe for driving daily. You have cams, ported manifold, so that should help you a little more to get closer to the 300whp mark. I see no reason why you can't make the power but you will have to boost a good amount to make it because of the T3 turbo your running.

 

ok from what i hear is my turbo will start dropping off around 15psi.. that is whay went the extra route of cams,ported mani and TB to hopefully give me the extra flow and push the pressure so much.. and im goign to be tuned with crome by john kerr.. i know he has the potential to get me where i want to be and hopefully reliably.. but if it blows then i will sleeve the block and make so serious power from it.. i basically threw this together to have some fun and see what the zc's true potential is. and 300 is a good round number especially in a 1700lb car. also what size slicks were you on in the vid?

 

I was using 22inch M/H slicks on that run. When I made that video the car was only on 15lbs and made 280whp. I later ran it on 300whp and it ran a 11.6 but never got it on video.

The slicks are long gone now. Everyone at the shop used those slicks. Look on honda-tech, you get lucky sometimes and guys are selling their slicks for cheap.

 

there is a guy on ebay that sell used race rubber for cheap i may go that route

 

If it eases your mind, I made a mini ram for a guy in Mass. and he just put down 485whp.

 

i have no doubts of the mani holding or flowing the power.. its just will the motor take it
