Y7 setup open for advice

Heres the deal i got a good shape 1.8t k03 turbo and intercooler for cheap and plan to throw it on my stock y7. I will be runnin 6psi to begin with 240cc b18b injectors i had. Stil looking for main parts for my setup: mani(probably ebay log) since i cant find a HF up here in canada, stage 2-3 clutch, sandwich adapter, oil press. a/f and boost gauges. I dont want the car noisy so i will fit a stratus 2.25 exhaust line with stock muffler and resonator/custom downpipe (hope its enough) Going for ABS piping at first, copper oil lines etc. basically i want the main parts solid and the hardware hmt style. I though about adding a stock oil cooler could a small p-steering unit do the job? Right now my main isuue is I got a p06 to do a obd-1 conversion and got a chipping kit and custom programmed chip. Soldered it myself and tried it on the stock car this morning car runs great but the idle is kinda shitty. I want feedback and dont's and do's please.

you need bigger injectors then 240cc i believe stock is 240cc but not 100% sure. now yopu need to find/build a manifold and downpipe to fit that k03. that stock muffler is really going to ---- with power so i would just get a dynomax turbo muffler welded on becuase those are cheap. it wont be to loud becuase turbos take alot of noise out of the exhaust. get a stealthmode oil line kit they are nice and cheap. instead of the sandwich adapter goto tuner toys and get the block fitting for the oil lines. and you dont need an oil cooler. it will just complicate things and wont help really

Great guys, thats the kind of advice i need. For the mani i was thinking about getting a t3 or something else and make an adapter plate so i can upgrade turbo later. Also , i did research but im still questionning about the stock wastegate. I believe the stock boost is around 10psi. Can i lower boost by adjusting the wastegate rod or can i hook up a manual boost controller and adjust that way. By the way stock d16y7 injectors are 180cc and i already got the chip programmed for the 240s. If i raise the fuel pressure with a regulator i think ill be okay.

DSM 440s or Evo 550s (I personally run) would be the next logical step if you max the 240s out. Also check the sticky, there are plenty of other stock wastegate actuators you could make work for the right psi.

Y7 has the funky intake manifold right? I`d get a Y8 one...they are also less restrictive.

Yeah the y7 head is for the future, for now i'm concentrating on the turbo setup and when the head or head gasket will need work i'll think about it. For now i'm thinking about the pvc valve setup i'll be using. It sounds touchy when boosted. IUs it possible to leave the pvc system as it is and add a kind of one way valve so boost cant get in the crankcase but when under vacuum the engine can still suck all the blowby.

Doh! I meant y8 head fore later:rolleyes:

Does anybody knows the stock wastegate setting of a 2001 1.8t?
