Default Y bypass for downpipe

Not sure if this has been asked before but knowing how many freaken questions have been asked on here I'm sure it has.

Anyhow, I've seen some nice Y-bypass for the downpipe a while back but havent been able to find a nice 2-1/2" one. Just wondering if any of you guys are using these for your setup and know of where to get some. I know this is HMT and if I could weld worth shiet I'd make my own but 1) Dont have a welder 2) I cant weld worth shiet...

Something like this:

I'd be nice just to have it closed while I'm driving around town and then be able to open it up when some ****** decides to race me or when I'm at the track so I can just go open-downpipe on the ****...

you can get those at local speed shops on on Ebay, I believe they are called "exhaust cut out" I always thought they were an excelent idea.

Yea they are pretty nice... Saw this one also

This is so much nicer looking but I'm curious to know how it opens. I'm thinking something along the lines of a throttle plate using some sort of motor to opening it and closing it... Hm...

Damn I need to find one!

Some of you fools are probably wondering why in the world would I want one... simple because I dont want to get a full exhaust or spend that much money on an exhaust. I just hate the whole vibration shiet and I'm sure my dad would flip when he hears my car sounding like that whenever I go home....

The one I saw was 80 dollars canadian, it's the exact same one as the Mr gasket one you have up there. It is heavy as ------- hell.

This one is COMING BACK FROM THE DEAD!

I wanna know if anyone has had any experience with these e-cutout or the manual cutouts... My main concerns with the e-cutout is leaking or the plate being stuck. Jeff was using one on his g/f's but he hasnt reported back so I'd figured I'd through this topic back up again...

Anyone?

that ---- looks restrictive as hell. the first one looks like it'll flow better. they sell those on jcwhitney.

problem with the JCWhitney ones that I've found were all cast iron... DAMN IT I just want a mild steel or stainless steel one.

The one pictured above is not that restrictive, it should have better flow since the open downpipe is directly straight through rather than to the side. <SHRUG>
