i have a 90 crx, turboed. ok the problem is my car will make and sound like its missfiring at the top of first and every other after that. and when im just cruisin in 4th or 5 th gear it will jerk and missfire. i had a blaster 2 coil in my car sooo i thought it was that first. i went and bought a new blaster ss coil and no difference. my car was throwing the CYP code so i changed out my distributor for a stock one with the internal coil. my car quit throwing the code but it still does the same ----. wh at the ---- is goin on.... i have no clue anymore

blowing out the spark, goto .028-.032 plug gap

nope not it..... i went with .030 and first gear is fine now but second is still bogging down and ------ up

im getin fuel. it fucks up when i get boost and at above about 4000 rpm

Happened to me at .030", I went down to .028" and it fixed the problem.

no mangement at all. i have 450 blue tops with an adj. fpr on 25 psi of fuel. uel isnt the problem. could it be the o2 sensor?

nope not really...... welll it ran fine an i had no poblems until i blew my headgasket. i put a new one in and now i have the missfiring. first gear works perfect and pulls harder than it did before but everything else is fucked up when i floor it. do you guys think i should retard my timing a tooth or do you have anymore ideas

I have a really good feeling you didn't put the timing belt on the same spot you did when you took it off. Just a thought.

Okay, enough. Like I said and Jon agrees the car doesn't seem to be in time annnnnnd I doubt it is too. Go BACK OVER your work when you changed the HG because you might have forgot to plug the CPS in. Something as small as that is holding you back. The code is going to lie to you and money isn't stopping you from re-doing your timing. It's not THAT hard and it gives you something to do.

can we not do the whole ---- talkin thing. ive checked the timing like 3 times. but now i have stiches on my fingers and a brace ---- i have to wear for 2 weeks. its ---- bullshit. maybe ill money for some better management by then. thnx to the people that actually have constructive ideas

I understand the no fuel management, but isn't there still an avg N/A problem involving the crank sensor yet? That shouldn't take money and what not why doesn't he just get on that. I quoted you because I'm confused now, haha.

-Chip burner - $35-$40
-chipping kit for OBD0 - $20

That's enough to put a basemap on that ----

-Maybe a wideband if you get ambitious at tuning - $125 (14.7 wideband!)
