Re: WTF is this ?
When you Pull the Dipstick out what colour is the Oil? If the Oil on the Dipstick is milky, you are fucked. If its just in the cap, its not to serious. the car has probably been standing over a month, Just swing the car let it idel for about 20 minutes shut down the car and check oil and check under the Oil cap. Let us know how things turn out..... If there is Milk in your oil(your oil is white). your head gasket is leaking/blown and there is water getting into the oil/making it rott. |

Re: WTF is this ?
I get that inside my oil cap in winter mainly. Its just from condensation.
although, like the one guy said. If its in your oil, then you have a fucked hg |
Re: WTF is this ?
its water mixed with oil from blowby gasses not being savenged properly. thats quite a lot! usual cause = bad rings, but on a turbo app, it could just be volume and not enough breathing..

Re: WTF is this ?
I seen that in this Accord once. It had a hydro locked motor from running it through a puddle of water. The kid who owned the car drained the oil (obviously it was milky), changed it, and got the bitch to fire up. Starts and runs everyday and has driven it now for the past 2k miles. He didn't blow a head gasket and the bitch doesn't even smoke.

Re: WTF is this ?
yup moister build up with oil
|
Re: WTF is this ?
oil is fine. thats the first thing i checked. compression isnt great but consistent. i have a catch can on it, with oem fittings on the back of the block. car has a small coolant leak at the radiator, so i im not sure if im loosing any inside the motor. ill fix that today and see what happens. its cold here and i usually drive w/o the fan on. coolant temps never go over 200 and it takes it some time to get up there. :-\ condensation, thats what my dad is telling me but im thinking its the rings. never thought it was headgasket. |
Re: WTF is this ?
Well do you always have that build up? Or just once and a while.
|
Re: WTF is this ?
no, first time i've seen it. i changed the oil in it like a month and a half ago and nothing was there. i was gonna work on it today but it ------- snowed. >:( my friend said he'll let me borrow his leak down tester so i'll see where im at for sure. thanks guys. :) |
Re: WTF is this ?
I notice that on my Volvo but changed the oil and it was squeeky clean.
|
Re: WTF is this ?

Re: WTF is this ?
If you haven't had any major problems recently, it's prob just condensation or one of the other small things. Oh, and did you say you changed your oil a month and a half ago? how much do you drive??
BTW, 93 hatch did I mention your avatar seriously ------- scares me? |
Re: WTF is this ?
