I was looking at a CT12C and the guy I am building the GRM civic with found this WRX turbo in his garage...

I think it should work well on a D16Z6

I swapped the suspension last week (new Konis , coilovers , a-arms , camber kit)

gonna drop some new bearings in the Z6 and run the factory WRX wastegate at 14... I don't think it should blow..

Guys on GRM.com think the car probably weighs in at under 2000lbs....should be a rocket ship

You get the HF mani yet? I know somebody makes an adapter plate to bolt the turbo right up, unless you have other plans :6

i used that same turbo on my Integra LS which is a tank compared to a gutted hatch and i think its pretty quick for a tiny turbo, check out the link in my sig, i got a ripper vid and pics of the adapter plate i made to go from a T3 flange to a IHI flange

That's a pretty small turbo for the original wrx ej20t platform, should do ok though on a little d-series budget build. FYI the compressor is maxed around 17psi, and I don't think the stock actuator is set for 14, probably lower. On the '04 WRX my fiance and I own the ecu controls the actuator through a solenoid, and max pressure on that is around 15psi tops.

Got my HF manifold last week...

hook me up with the adaptor!!!

I am going ot build the motor with Vitara's and Eagle rods , cometic gasket and new bearings...gonna leave the head alone except soem ARP studs..

I know the turbo is a wee bit small ,but this thing is brand new!!!

Feel like a dumbass having sold a IHI VF40 from an STI a year ago , and a LEgacy GT turbo....

I used to work for subaru..back in the day

I thought WRX's were 14 to 15Psi and STi's were about the same..but it's been a while..

I used to pinch off the bleed line in my Demo Turbo forester to get a bit more Umph..but if you went too nuts the computer would shut it down.

Fast little breadbox , best race was against a S2000 , had him by 2 cars until about 100 when he went by.. Aerodynamics Owned me.

WRX's are 15psi through the wg solenoid controlled by the ecu. Without the solenoid my WRX only hits around 1mPa. Sti's usually are around 17psi.
